Egg timer & count the seconds

I sit with my 10 year old son while he brushes his teeth. He has a 2 minute egg timer which he turns and he brushes until it runs through. Sometimes I count some seconds out loud "missipi one.." to feel how the time goes + play around, count back etc

Sing A Song

I try to sing one of my daughter's favorite songs 2x through while she brushes her teeth. That helps her brush for longer.

Party time

I have the radio on when I’m brushing, so I end up dancing and brushing around the bathroom with my two children.

Posing in the mirror

My best tip is that I pretend with my daughter that we are being photographed in the mirror at a film premiere. Every time we brush, we strike lots of different poses. I’ll make sure we put a film up soon!

My little boy always gives me a toothpaste moustache or beard, which he finds very funny.

Shiny teeth

Once I’ve brushed my teeth, I love how shiny they are. I shine them in mummy or daddy’s eyes!

Brushing class

My kids love playing pretend, so we got them to act as teachers and explain to their favourite toys and our pet cat how to brush properly.

Toothpaste target

This is a game we play after we’ve all finished brushing. What you do is, get all the foam in your mouth and try to target the plug hole. Whoever gets it all in is the winner!
