Brush day and night dental practice pack

As a dental professional, you’re an expert when it comes to teaching your patients about good oral health and hygiene.

However, this takes time, and your efforts aren’t always rewarded – that’s why the brush day and night dental practice pack has been created: to make your job a little easier. In line with the rest of the campaign, the materials are designed to inform your patients about the importance of brushing and help motivate them to brush twice daily: once in the morning and again last thing before bed.

Using good quality fluoride toothpaste, a twice daily brushing routine can reduce cavities in children by up to 50%, compared with brushing only once (International Dental Journal 2000; 50:312–323).

The tone of the brush day and night practice materials is deliberately light-hearted and fun, to make it more engaging for kids and to support their parents, making brushing easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

A variety of downloadable materials are provided below:

For child patients - key material

The brushing calendar book and accompanying morning and night pictures are key to reminding and encouraging your younger patients to take up the brush day and night habit. Parents will also appreciate the practical help provided. Hand this out personally to your child patients and advise them to keep the calendar in the place they visit before going to bed – the bathroom, perhaps? Parents should help cut out the pictures and let the child stick them to the calendar in the appropriate place after each successful brushing. Each successful month can be rewarded with a monster picture!

Why not ask your patients to bring the calendar back to you, to check how they are getting on? Reward child patients who return with high brushing scores with the official brush day and night brusher picture or a love and hero page.
