Are your child patients brushing day and night?
Brushing twice a day with good quality fluoride toothpaste can reduce cavities by up to 50% in children compared with brushing only once (International Dental Journal 2000 ; 50: 312–323).
Sadly, this doesn’t always happen. For many families, brushing is a chore and sometimes even a battle, especially with young children! And, as you are well aware, getting people to change their brushing habits isn’t always easy. In this section you’ll find free educational materials to give out and put up in your practice, scientific articles and lots of other useful information to help you get your younger patients into the brushing twice a day habit.
Working together, we can make a difference
Unilever Oral Care has joined forces with the FDI World Dental Federation to improve oral health globally, by encouraging children and their parents to brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.
Signal's brush day and night campaign is designed not only to educate people about the importance of brushing their teeth, but actually to motivate them to do it. The tone of the campaign is deliberately light-hearted and fun, as this is more likely to engage kids and to support their parents, making the whole brushing activity easier to achieve and more enjoyable for everyone.
This aim is supported by a long-standing scientific programme on oral hygiene behaviour change, with peer-reviewed scientific publications.
Also, a dental practice pack has been designed with FREE materials for you and your patients.
